In 1988, Vin Sansone opened his first gym and laid the foundation for what would become The Edge Fitness Clubs. Known then as The Fitness Edge, the single-location gym was just the beginning of a long-term vision. With continued success and expansion, the brand rebranded to The Edge Fitness Clubs. Now, Edge Fitness spans multiple states, including Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, Missouri, and Rhode Island. Connecticut includes a high concentration of locations like Bristol, Norwalk, and Shelton. Delaware’s location is in Christiana. New Jersey residents can join in Cherry Hill or Delran, while Michigan’s gyms include Farmington Hills and Westland. Cranston and Warwick host the Rhode Island clubs. Edge Fitness provides a rich variety of group classes every week, from Yoga and Zumba to Total Body Conditioning RR. Les Mills workouts such as Bodypump and CXWorx are staples. Other services include personal coaching, team-based workouts, and diet consultations. There are also kid-centered amenities like basketball and climbing walls. With memberships starting at just $9.99 per month, Edge offers three tiers: Red, Fit, and Total. Edge Red includes gym floor access and a health consultation. Edge Fit enhances that with classes, massage, and tanning. Edge Total gives access to all amenities, including spin sessions, a women’s only section, and unlimited guest entry. If you’re ready to move on from your membership, there are tools and support available to guide you through the cancellation process.

Follow these steps:

  1. Write up a letter and request cancellation within it. Provide all of your account info as listed. Sign and date the letter and Keep a copy for your records.
  2. Send the letter, making sure to use Certified mail, to the address provided to you by the gym
  3. Contact customer service at the phone number for the gym you signed up at or attended most frequently after your letter is received to ensure your account is cancelled
  4. Request proof of your transaction in the form of an email or confirmation number
  5. As usual, just in case, keep the proof that you’ve cancelled handy.

  1. Contact customer service at the phone number for the gym you signed up at or attended most frequently
  2. Ask for information about cancelling your account
  3. Provide the agent with your account info
  4. Ask if you are in a contract or free to cancel
