About Rush Fitness
Rush Fitness, headquartered in Knoxville, TN, once operated 23 fitness centers across the southeastern United States. The company had locations in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina and was led by President and CEO David Carney.
In 2014, the entire network of Rush Fitness gyms was acquired by Gold’s Gym, one of the most recognizable fitness brands in the world. Gold’s Gym was founded in 1965 by Joe Gold in Venice Beach, California, and is currently owned by TRT Holdings, with headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
After the acquisition, Rush Fitness locations were seamlessly converted into Gold’s Gym facilities, providing an enhanced experience for members. The gyms remain open to all experience levels, whether you’re starting a fitness journey or already deep into one.
Gold’s Gym locations feature a wide range of equipment, including high-tech cardio machines, free weights, and resistance training gear. Amenities include a basketball court, women-only workout areas, steam and sauna rooms, Cardio Cinema, and spacious locker rooms.
Group fitness is also a key part of the experience, with classes such as Bootcamp, Yoga, and Group Cycle offered regularly. A Kids Club helps busy parents balance fitness and family, and personal training sessions are available for those wanting individualized support.
Membership costs depend on the location and type of plan. If you choose to cancel, we’ve created a detailed cancellation guide to make the process as smooth as possible. Scroll down to learn how.
