How to Delete Newsstand From iPhone?
When Apple introduced iOS 6 they decided to include a mobile magazine app called “Newsstand”, after the update the app appeared automatically on everyone’s phone even if they didn’t ask for it or downloaded, Apple basically forced the app upon users. To make matter worse, the app could not be deleted, in fact, it still can’t be deleted. There’s a popular discussion about how to remove Newsstand from iPhone at the Apple Support community, you might want to check it out to learn more about this issue.
But don’t worry, there’s a solution, you won’t free up any space though, that’s guaranteed, but at least you will be able to get it out of your way. With iOS 7 you can now at least hide the app in another folder, simply press and hold the Newsstand icon and then drag and drop it wherever you want.
That’s it, is that easy, it’s not the best solution, I’ll have to agree with you on that, but at least it won’t bother you anymore and you won’t have to stick in the last page, where you will eventually see it no matter what you do. If Apple ever decides to let users delete the app permanently I’ll come back to this page and update it with the right information. Hope this helps!
